Jack Craib's
Caille Outboard Motor Information Pages
est. Feb. 2002
I am making this site as an aid to identifying antique Caille outboard motors. I am also gathering related odds and ends about Caille outboards that are just fun or interesting to see.

It is a work in progress and I hope to greatly expand the information found here, so give it time and check back every now and again to see what's new.

Your input is welcome. Write me if you have any suggestions, comments or information or pictures to add!

Starting fresh with the uploads log in 2007:

  • Oliver jigsaw just for fun
  • New Year jigsaw puzzle :-)
  • October 27- 3 rowboat motors
  • October 27- Neptune #1029
  • October 27 - old photo; can you see what motor it is ???
  • October 13- Liberty Single square tank
  • August 20- Yankee Chapter's Mystic Meet
  • August 13 - reconnected some dead links (higher # models)
  • August 10 - Model 14 Companion #T101 added
  • August 10 - in Ephemera - 1912/1913 postcard from a catalog
  • August 1-4, Tomahawk WI - Over 1300 photos and dozens of video clips to get you in the mood for Tomahawk Nationals 2008!
  • July, Constantine Super Meet - featuring rowboat motors
  • April, Lee Holland's meet in Michigan; a Caille meet
  • February 24th Pottstown PA meet
  • nothing yet...Jack is hoarding cool old pics that he means to get around to scanning. feel free to nag him if you are on a nag basis...but I have linked to the August 2006 Mystic meet that I forgot to do (sorry, Gary!)

Note from Emma: Any really dopey mistakes you find in this site right now are due to my overhauling it last year without asking "what's this?" when Jack is out in the shop or off somewhere. After the whole thing gets updated, we'll hopefully look at it together and make corrections. Feel free to alert me sooner...I'm not sensitive about my inability to tell one motor from another!

There are some interesting new photos ...check out the tilting transom panel and "Master Gabriel and his Evinrude"!

This oval detail is from a brochure page that acknowledges Antoine Liberty, Caille's general superintendent, as the developer of the Caille Liberty Drive. You will find the whole page on the Liberty Single page.
